Individually Paced Sight Word Program
The tables above show the pacing at which the class as a whole group progresses through learning their sight words. Through our Sight Word program, students may advance at their own pace through the kindergarten sight words. Everyone get a list of the red words sent home. If you wish, you may help your students practice these words at home. When your child is ready to test on the set of 10 red words, you notify me and they are allowed to test on them in class. When they pass, they get to put a red sight in their machine on the sight words board and they receive the next (blue) set of words. If your child completes all 10 sets of kindergarten words I have sets of challenge words they can use to continue learning the sight words on the Dolch list. All 10 lists of kindergarten tested sight words can be found in the KINDER SIGHT WORDS file below. Students who finish all 100 kindergarten sight words on the kinder list below may start working their way through the challenge sight words.
