I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an area of emphasis in Speech Pathology from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. I also have a Masters of Arts degree from the University of Missouri in Elementary Administration. I am CLAD certified as well. 

 

I'm starting my 26th year of teaching!! I began my teaching career in 1997 in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Then, in 2005, I moved to Bakersfield and helped open Norris Elementary. I love teaching second grade and watching the students passion for learning emerge throughout the school year.

 

My husband, Jared, and I have 2 daughters. Emma will be in junior this year and Ashby is a freshman. Both girls are very active in sports and showing pigs. They definitely keep us extremely busy.

 

Finally, I'm a HUGE Kansas City Chiefs fan. Watching them win the Super Bowl this past year was so exciting!!
